Climate change vulnerability index and multi-criteria ranking approach for assessing the vulnerability to climate change: case study Egypt
This study demonstrates how to use a climate change vulnerability index and multi-criteria analysis to rank the vulnerability to climate change at local scale. The assessment was carried out by overlaying climate risk, exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity following the vulnerability assessment framework of the IPCC.
The key indicators of the climate change vulnerability index and their weights were determined by applying the Delphi process. Based on amalgamation of the results, the Egyptian governorates were ranked according their vulnerability to climate change for targeting adaptation planning and decision making.
Reducing Carbon Imation of Irrigation System at the Farm Level
The main objective of this study is identifying approaches for reducing the carbon emitted from the irrigation system in Egypt. The study succeeded in reducing the carbon emitted from the pump station on the farm level.
